About Our Dentist
Dr. Maria Hagen is originally from Colombia. She moved to Florida and worked as a dental hygienist for 5 years before enrolling in the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Dr. Hagen graduated with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2009. During her last year of dental school, she participated in an AEGD program in Jacksonville, where she had extensive training on dental implants, periodontal and cosmetic surgery as well as advanced endodontic procedures.
Dr. Hagen attends frequent continuing education courses in diverse facets of dentistry and takes great care in ensuring her patients are comfortable and have a complete understanding of both diagnosis and treatment plans, which are always carefully designed to each client’ s specific needs. "I wanted to follow my uncle's example," she says. "He was a general dentist working in Tallahassee, Florida. I am happy when my patients are satisfied with their dental work."
Dr. Hagen is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Florida Dental Academy. When she is away from the office, she enjoys dancing and traveling.
